Forests of the Sea

Parley for the Oceans and South Africa-based Sea Change Project have partnered to create the Forests of the Sea project to motivate scientists, policymakers and individuals to engage meaningfully with nature and protect our oceans. Focused on protecting kelp forests around the globe, Forests of the Sea pushes for impactful policy changes while educating the public about kelp forests whose unique structure provides a three-dimensional habitat for thousands of marine species.
The Sea Change Project educates through films, books, exhibitions and marine biology research through living science and impact campaigns. Its Academy Award Winning documentary, My Octopus Teacher, revealed the richness of the Great African Seaforest and her creatures.
